Shake. Write. Back to work.

You're in the middle of something. Shake your mouse, or press Ctrl+Shift+Space, and a small capture box appears right where you are. Write it down, hit Ctrl+Enter, and it's saved. Then you're back, exactly where you left off. Press Esc and your half-written thought is kept for next time.

ChatGPT

Bring your own AI. Powered by GPT.

The easiest way to talk to your notes. Ask a question, get an answer from the note in front of you, and carry on. No new account to pay for and no key to copy: use the ChatGPT plan you already have.

Sign in once. That's the whole setup.

Choose Continue with ChatGPT, finish in your browser, and you're connected. Pip never sees your password or your chats.

Rather use a key?

Add your own API key and pick the model. It's kept in Windows Credential Manager.

Calm, not clever.

Nothing runs unless you ask. Suggestions wait for your OK before anything changes.

Pip works fine with no AI connected. When you do ask, the text of that note goes to ChatGPT to get an answer.

A board you can read at a glance.

Notes are color cards, newest first. Pin the ones you need, tick off checklists, search by title or body, and sort things into folders. Turn the text size up or down with the - and + buttons.

Floating notes: Keep a note on screen while you work in something else.
Checklists: Plain checklists inside any note.
Light and dark: Follows Windows, or pick one.
Plain text: Your notes stay readable anywhere. Export any note as Markdown.
Optional sync: Sign in if you want your notes on more than one PC.
Calm motion: Turn animation off in settings, or let Windows do it for you.

Your notes stay yours.

On your PC: Your notes live on your computer. No account needed, and nothing leaves it.
Sync is your choice: Sign in only if you want your notes on more than one PC. Then a copy is stored with your account.
No tracking: No analytics, and Pip doesn't watch what you do.
AI only when you ask: Connect your own ChatGPT or API key. Pip sends only the note you ask about, only when you ask. Connect nothing and nothing is ever sent.
Your way out: Export any note as Markdown, or everything as a file, whenever you like.

Good to know before you install.

Windows only for now. There's no Mac, Linux or phone version yet.
Windows may warn you. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC". Choose "More info", then "Run anyway".
